Can you set a GIF as your Tumblr avatar? The answer is yes. The process is the same as setting a still image as your profile picture. After uploading the GIF it will be converted into a still image.

1. Search tumblr.com on a web browser, click on Account, and then the blog you want to change your avatar.
2. On the right click on View blog.
3. Go to Blog settings>Edit appearance.
4. Click on the pencil icon on the avatar and select “Choose a photo“.
